On the 1X2 TIPS pages you’ll find tips for the next round of matches for all the featured leagues and competitions. The results of the most recent tips are also shown along with a section showing the performance so far for the season for each method. | | How The 1X2 Tips Work | | | | | The latest tips table, shown above, shows both the latest tips for up and coming matches and previous tips together with the actual results. Where the tip is shown with a green background this indicates a correctly forecast result. The actual result, if known, is shown in the right hand side column under ‘Res.’. There are a total of seven methods used for providing the tips, they are: | | Footyforecast Method | Rateform Method | Win Draw Loss Method | Simple Sequence Method | Score Prediction Method | Superiority Method | | Best The best from the above five methods | | | SF SuperForm (Copyright 1X2Monster) This method uses the actual performance of all the other methods. | | | The dates of games are all shown using the same format of YYYYMMDD where YYYY = year, MM = month, DD = day. The fixtures shown with a light blue background are the current tips fr the selected competition, and the value in the ‘Res.’ column will be ‘-’. | | | Values that can appear in any of the method columns are 1 = home win, X = draw, 2 = away win. Under the Superform or SF column it is also possible to get 1X = home win or draw, or X2 = draw or away win. For the Score Prediction column you obviously see a predicted scoreline, but it is also possible to see the word ‘null’ if there is not enough data for either team in order to make a prediction. Also notice that where a scoreline has a green background this is because the result is correct and not the actual scoreline, for example if a score prediction was 3-0 and the actual result was 2-1 then the 3-0 prediction would show up with a green background. | | | Now lets take a look at the tips performance area, this appears directly below the tips.. | | | | | |
|
The first row of the performance area shows the ‘Actual Homes’, ‘Actual Draws’, and the ‘Actual Aways’ for the selected competition. There is then three rows for each of the forecasting methods except Superform or SF. Each method has a row for each of home wins ‘1’, draws ‘X’, and away wins ‘2’. Each of these rows is split into five columns showing the following:
- Total Forecast
This is the total number of forecasts mad for this method and this result, e.g. 1, X, or 2.
- Correct
This shows how many of the total that have been forecast were actually correct.
- Not Correct
You guessed it, the ones that were not correct.
- Hit Rate
This is the most important column as it shows the percentage correct forecasts. For example, in Rateform above 30 out of 58 homes forecast are correct and therefore the hit rate is 58%.
- % Of Actual
Instead of showing a percentage based on those forecast this value shows a percentage based on the actual results shown along the very top row. For example, in the Footyforecast method above 8 home win predictions are correct. Because there have been 76 actual home wins then the percentage of actual is approximately 11%.
