Boxing Day Betting Tips

The extreme weather in the UK destroyed my tips last time out, every single game I covered was cancelled due to the icy conditions, hopefully these Boxing Day tips won’t fall victim to the weather.
In the Championship Leicester City welcome Sheffield United to the Walkers Stadium with both pushing for a play-off spot. United have improved of late but Leicester are pretty good at home and they’ll fancy their chances against the Blades. However, this is a game both sides can’t really afford to lose and I’m pretty tempted by the draw in all honesty. Leicester had a minor blip recently but they managed to pick up three points last time out, while United are unbeaten in six. I don’t normally tip draws but this one looks pretty good to me and at 12/5 it looks a worthwhile Christmas flutter.
In the Premier League Wigan Athletic take on Blackburn Rovers at the DW Stadium. Wigan have been a tricky team to predict this season but I think they’ll see off their Lancashire rivals on Boxing Day. Rovers have managed to pick up just four points on their travels this season and they rely heavily on their home form. At 11/8 the odds on the Wigan victory are pretty attractive and I’ll certainly be having a nibble on the Latics.
My first two betting tips could perhaps be considered a bit risky, but these two are surely bankers. In League One Norwich welcome Millwall to Carrow Road with the Canaries in fine, promotion chasing, form. Millwall aren’t a bad side, but they’ve managed just one win on their travels and I doubt they’ll double that tally at Norwich. At 4/5 Norwich are basically even money and well worth a look in my opinion. Southampton take on Exeter in another League One fixture and the Saints should easily see off the visitors in this one. At 8/15 you won’t see the best return on your investment but I can’t see this tie going any other way.
