Champions League betting picks

The big fixture is without a doubt Real Madrid’s visit to AC Milan, last time these two met I tipped Real at the Bernabeu and AC picked up an improbable victory so I think I’ll leave that tie alone in terms of betting advice! However, I have picked a few out who I think will take all three points.
Italian outfit Juventus travel to Israel to face Maccabi Haifa in a tie that should be very one sides. The Israeli’s haven’t registered a single point from their opening three games, while Juve are yet to lose. with Champions League betting odds of 8/11 you won’t see the greatest return on your investment but it looks a decent bet to me.
Jose Mourinho’s Inter Milan have drawn their opening three games so far and remarkably sit bottom of group five. They face a tricky trip to the Ukraine to face Dinamo Kiev on Wednesday in what should be a tight and hard fought affair. I don’t usually like tipping draws but I reckon this game could end in a stalemate. Kiev are a hard site to beat on home soil but Inter are still a good side, despite their recent poor run in Europe, and I reckon they’ll emerge with a point. The draw is priced at 12/5.
My final Champions League betting tip comes from Group H. Belgian outfit Standard Liege sit bottom of the group and are desperately in need of a win to keep their European dream alive. Olympiacos are the visitors on Wednesday night and I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest Liege might just take this one. The Belgian side are better than their position in the group suggests and Olympiacos are much better when playing in Greece. It is quite a big call but at 11/8 I reckon Liege are worth a nibble.

Punters are currently getting short-changed on the value of the odds they are offered, and its not the fault of bookmakers or betting agencies, but the EU! By denying everyone an open gambling market, with proper competition between betting suppliers, bureaucrats from Brussels are giving everyone who bets a raw deal. Have a look at the campaign at http://www.right2bet.net which is petitioning the EU to give gamblers the rights they deserve.
